Too Marvelous For Words!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(I debated for a second or two long and hard to use the Canadian spelling of marvellous or the American version with one "l" - given it's a song title that uses the American spelling I went with that - sorry all you Canucks!)

It’s no secret I am in love, over the moon with The Rat Pack! I have this exact picture in a poster size!!

I love everything about them, the image, the songs, the time they represent – I love it all.

Today I was sweeping and bopping along to Frank Sinatra’s “Too Marvelous For Words.” I’ve adored this song and Frank’s version since the first time I laid ears on it.

DISCLAIMER – This post will be A LOT more effective if you check out the song here first – immerse yourself in the tune and then read on!

I got thinking how much in my life I think is “Too Marvelous For Words!” As you all know when I get thinking, I get posting so here is a few things that jump into my mind…… (in no particular order!)

Hubby, Big Sis & Little Sis –

You're just too marvelous, too marvelous for words

Like "glorious", "glamorous" and that old standby "amorous".

Mom & Dad –

It's all too wonderful, I'll never find the words

That say enough, tell enough, I mean they just aren't swell enough.

Cash – The World’s Greatest Dog –

You're much too much, and just too "very, very"

To ever be in Webster's Dictionary.

Many, many dear friends – lots I’ve had between 20 and 15 years –

And so I'm borrowing a love song from the birds

To tell you that you're marvelous - too marvelous for words.

My Baby Sister, Niece and Nephew -

You're much - you're too much - and just too "very, very"

To ever be, to ever be in Webster's Dictionary.

In-Laws That I Adore – (I know not everyone gets this one!!)

And so I'm borrowing a love song from the birds

Red House on the corner that I call home –

To tell you that you're marvelous;

A Job I’d do for free if I could -

Tell you that you're marvelous;

Let’s not forget…… hot baths, good books, fresh rain, warm bread, hysterical laughter, clothes line hung sheets, strong coffee, cuddles, kisses, bacon, cheese, get togethers, warm summer days, first snow falls of winter, smells of fall, buds of spring, thunder, cruising, tunes, The Rat Pack, Johnny Cash, Elvis, John Wayne, Jimmy Stewart, Patsy Cline……………….

Tell you that you're marvelous - too marvelous for words!!!!!!!
